Boutique Stays, Scottish Soul
Welcome to the Bothy
Centuries ago, Scottish pioneers crossed oceans and arrived in Central Otago to find something startlingly familiar — rugged peaks, wide skies, and a landscape that felt like home. They stayed, they settled, and they left their names on our maps, weaving a Scottish soul into the very fabric of this place.
In Scotland, a bothy is a traditional hillside shelter. A refuge where travellers and shepherds would escape the elements to find warmth, rest, and a place to share their stories around the fire.
We chose the name Bothy because that connection is real — two wild landscapes, shaped by the same ancient hand, on opposite sides of the world.
Our philosophy is built on that same spirit. Rugged country, genuine hospitality, and a quiet commitment to keeping the fire lit. We don’t simply manage properties. We care for homes — and we take that word seriously.
Whether you are an owner trusting us with something precious, or a guest stepping through the door for the first time, the invitation is the same.
Come inside. Rest. You’re home.
